Angie pulls a Snatch from the blocks to really focus on driving the hips and the body into full extension in the lift. Notice the extension through the feet, through the hips (she’s ALMOST fully there), and especially, through the chest and shoulders! This is a HUGE improvement for her.

MOBILITY FOR THE POSITION: Practice the Bridge, 5 minutes.

SKILL WORK: The Snatch.

STRENGTH: Work with your Coach on any drills, skills, and rep schemes that they think may be relevant to helping you get better at this Olympic Lift.

METABOLIC CONDITIONING: For time: 60 Double Unders, 50 American Kettlebell Swings (1.5/1), 40 Double Unders, 30 American Kettlebell Swings, 20 Double Unders, 10 American Kettlebell Swings.

*If you have no double unders, you may do this entire workout in just singles but only after incurring a 3 minute penalty in the beginning of the workout in which you attempt to get ONE double under.
