Body Change Composition Challenge details.

Below, Hunter juuuuust misses the 200lb. sandbag overhead. There was a bigger bag downstairs that would have made this a lot easier but he just didn’t know about it. Sorry, Hunter.

Unfortunately that’s what eating for optimal health and performance can sometimes be like: you can try really hard (or at least feel like you are) and remain dissatisfied for a long time due to a simple lack of the right information.

My experience with food and performance has been very like this but over the past 5 years (albeit with a lot of trouble-shooting) I’m 25lbs. lighter, a lot stronger, and have managed to stay pretty happy about my day-to-day eating habits.

Starting next week you will be able to schedule a one-on-one session with a Coach (moi) who would love to give you the practical experience you’ll need to succeed in meeting your body composition goals. We’ll create a plan based on your individual needs and prepare to carry out that plan beginning October 1st (yes, I know… it’s a Saturday) and ending on October 31st. But this way, you’ll always know where you are in the 30 days!

The cost to enter the challenge will be $50. The cost covers 4 personal meetings over 30 days (no charge for preliminary meetings next week) and email/text advice over 4 weeks. Recipes and helpful planning solutions will be explored and tailored to your own lifestyle. We will weigh, measure and take pictures before and after the challenge to ensure progress. We will also be completing a benchmark workout before and after to observe potential progress in the realm of performance. There will be prizes… and as Abbey’s latest trip to Lululemon will tell you – they’re not lame! And lastly, we will be taking the 30th day as an opportunity to plan for some options during the upcoming Holiday season.

Until Monday, if you are interested in the challenge I would love for you to think about a few things:

1. What are your goals? Short term and long term? Be prepared to write them down.

2. Read about the paleo diet at robbwolf.com (the FAQ) is the perfect place to start.

3. Check out the Primal Diet at Marksdailyapple.com (The Primal Blueprint button is a good place to start.

4. If you can meet next Wednesday, please let me know by emailing crossfitcc. Please give me a time that works best for you.

5. Keep a 3 day food log starting today. Record what you ate, when, how much, and how you felt before and after. It doesn’t have to be pretty but be honest… I’ve eaten second dinner plus ice cream too.

6. Don’t freak out. 🙂 I won’t ask you to do anything you can’t.

There’s more information to come on Advanced Classes at CFCC which are slated to begin in November… but this you should know: some of the requirements will necessitate a good strength to bodyweight ratio (ladies, think bodyweight pullup!). If you want to get better this year and if you’re looking for a big life change this round of the CFCC BCCC is for you!

    The title should read Nutrition Challenge, not Seminar. 🙂 Also I should note that on Wednesday at 7pm the Oly Classes will. be meeting with me…so that time is out!

    Do you only want a log of calorie containing stuff or should I list the 6 coffees i have a day? (no cream and no sugar)
