CFCC’s Summer of Food, the Summary.

First, the important stuff: if you have been a part of the Nutrition Challenge which began around the beginning of July please get in touch with me as soon as possible to schedule your measurements.  I’ll be measuring people up until next Tuesday (8/2/11) and will be available at the following times for measurements:

Sunday, from directly after the noon session (1pm) – 6pm. Anytime we are watching the Games I can also hop to the side and measure people. 

Monday evening, 530-730pm, by appointment.

Tuesday, 9am – 4pm, by appointment.

I’ll be using the measurements and pictures to judge who the “winner” of this round of the Challenge is and will announce this by Wednesday morning.  Winners will receive their prizes before I leave so no worries there!

Where do we go from here?

I think this question has a lot to do with what you all were able to learn in the last 30-40 days.  Some of you found that what you were doing was working well and just needed a little more consistency.  Some of you developed, for the first time in your lives, small habits that allowed you to enjoy better energy levels, digestion, and better body composition.  There’s also a strong portion of you who found out that eating for performance can be challenging, time-consuming, and a times, a little isolating.

I think regardless of what changes you made during the last month we can all say one thing, we learned something.  That said, I think we end where we started: what are your goals?  Are you doing what you need to do meet your goals?  With your new found knowledge do you know more about what it will take to get you to your goals?

In the next 30 days, what will your response be to the things you have learned? 

Here are a few options:

1.  Do whatever you want (maybe this puts you back at square one? Something to think about.)

2. Keep going as you’ve been going, perhaps with more, perhaps with less, structure.

3. Continue to meet with me on an as-needed appointment basis to peruse a Food Log.

4. Set a date to take more measurements (for incentive’s sake, or in the name of good data keeping)

5. Attend Diane’s seminar on September 17th to dive further into the world of keeping yourself healthy and getting the most out of your CrossFit Center City experience.

If you’re on the fence, take some time to think about what the next step is for you…but not too much time.  Regardless, CFCC will be here to challenge you with the Workout of the Day and another challenge beginning in October.
